Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network
The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network is based in Toronto, Ontario. It is the only national, community-based, charitable organization in Canada working exclusively in the area of policy and legal issues raised by HIV and AIDS.
Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations
AFAO is the peak non-government organisation representing Australia's community-based response to HIV and AIDS. AFAO's work includes education, policy, advocacy and international projects.
AIDS Law Project South Africa
The AIDS Law Project (ALP) is at Wits University Centre for Applied Legal Studies. It works on social, legal and human rights issues around HIV and AIDS.
International Council of AIDS Service Organisations (ICASO)
ICASO is a global network of non-governmental and community-based organisations.
International HIV/AIDS Alliance
The Alliance is developing a set of fact sheets and participatory tools to support community engagement for antiretroviral (ARV) treatment. The aim is to provide NGO/CBO staff with tools and information to support PLHA and their communities on ARV treatment. They are based on experience in supporting treatment programmes in several countries.

Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS)
The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS) is the main advocate for global action on the epidemic. It leads, strengthens and supports an expanded response aimed at preventing transmission of HIV, providing care and support, reducing the vulnerability of individuals and communities to HIV and AIDS, and alleviating the impact of the epidemic.
UNGASS-RELATED INITIATIVES
World AIDS Campaign (WAC)
The World AIDS Campaign has been established to strengthen and connect together the advocacy and campaign activities targeting governments and other stakeholders to deliver on their promises and commitments. Whether that is with politicians or policy makers amongst the donor community or those countries most affected by HIV or indeed a multilateral agency or civil society the aim is to create a unified voice on the need to take the action necessary to scale up the response to HIV. Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) promotes health by protecting human rights.

Doctors for Human Rights works to promote and protect the right to health through education, advocacy, and medical investigations.
The International Federation of Health and Human Rights Organisations
The International Federation of Health and Human Rights Organisations (IFHHRO) was established as a network of organisations with similar human rights agenda's, upon an initiative of the Johannes Wier Foundation (the Netherlands) and Physicians for Human Rights (USA) in 1989. The organisation has 'affiliated' and 'observer' organisations; in 1996 the organisation was transformed into a federation.

British Institute for Human Rights (BIHR)
The BIHR aims to raise public awareness about human rights through educating people about the importance of human rights. It offers community outreach programmes for voluntary and community groups working with people who face disadvantage and discrimination and also provides training for statutory and voluntary agencies.
