"I welcome the creation of the UK AIDS and Human Rights Project and am proud to support its commitment to promoting and protecting the rights of people living with and vulnerable to HIV in the UK. As a human rights organisation dedicated to HIV, the UK Project will not only help make the government accountable for HIV-related violations of human rights but will also help educate the public about HIV and human rights."

OUR MISSION
The UK Project has been established to promote and protect the rights of people living with, affected by, and vulnerable to HIV and AIDS in the UK.
The UK Project believes that human rights must be used as a platform to increase the effectiveness of HIV and AIDS-responses because they provide:
- Tools for making governments accountable for HIV and AIDS-human rights;
- A legal rationale for a human rights based response to HIV and AIDS; and
- An argument for ensuring that the public is informed and educated about HIV and the impact of negative attitudes and actions on people living with and/or affected by HIV, and those at risk.
OUR AIMS
- To make the UK government accountable for violations of HIV-related human rights;
- To encourage the UK government to adopt human rights based responses to HIV; and
- To promote respect for HIV-related rights by the public.
